It's a Celebration

"Celebrate good times, come on. It's a celebration." (I know you all know the number one, most requested wedding song of the century, so I'm not even going to ask- it's Kool and the Gang) Today is July 4th, our country's Independance Day, and in light of all the celebrating, I've decided to share a few recipes to try out at your backyard barbecues and fireworks parties. I have only included appetizers, desserts/candy, and drinks, because entree recipes including wine number in the thousands. However, I may slip in one (or several) barbecue recipes, provided I can find the link(s).
Appetizers -

  1. Red Wine Biscuits
  2. Biscotti Di Vino
  3. Port Wine Cheese Spread
  4. Gorgonzola and White Wine Cheese Ball

Barbecue Sauces (See, I found them) -

  1. Red Wine Barbecue Sauce #1
  2. Red Wine Barbecue Sauce #2
  3. Red Wine Barbecue Sauce #3
  4. White Wine Barbecue Sauce

Desserts and Candy-

  1. Red Wine-Port Wine Ice Cream
  2. Port Wine Ice Cream with Hot "liquor" Sauce
  3. White Wine Sorbet
  4. Late Harvest Riesling Wine Ice Cream
  5. Chocolate Wine Truffles
  6. Port Wine Lover's Truffles

(And finally) Drinks -

  3. Captain With A Skirt
  4. Cooler By The Lake

So, here's a toast to my fellow Americans on Independance Day:

Come, fill the glass and drain the bowl;
May love and Bacchus still agree;
And every American warm his soul
With Cupid, wine and liberty.
